The "LIGNES DE VIE",
"Guaranteed results" service contracts for public highway
marking
Encouraged by a number of its clients, Prosign has developed a road
marking service contract which puts the emphasis on the service actually
provided. These contracts, which guarantee a specific result, put
the onus on the company to ensure that road markings will continue
to be effective and provide a level of service predefined by the contracting
authority and adapted to each type of highway. In return, the company
is free to use the technical means of its choice.
The Lignes de Vie contract is signed for several years and is aimed
at the systematic maintenance of road markings on public highways,
by the application, using truck-mounted machines, of high performance
paint which can be driven over immediately.
The aim of the contract is mainly to ensure the homogeneity and quality
of the markings on a given road network in a particular region. As
a result, users benefit from optimum guidance whenever they are on
the road.
Development of this new concept was made possible by PROSIGN's high-tech
products and equipment and the know-how of its teams.
When signing the contracts, PROSIGN makes the following commitments:

To apply all the
markings on a specific route each year, within a deadline stipulated
in the contract; |
| 2. |
To guarantee optimum retroreflectivity
and provide proof of its effectiveness by carrying out Ecodyn self-inspections
two or three times a year; |
| 3. |
To use fast-drying paints which
can be immediately driven over, thus minimising inconvenience to
users; |
| 4. |
To assign a single
contact person to the client throughout the contractual
period; |
| 5. |
To promote visibility and even
out costs per mileage. |
The Ecodyn van used to monitor retroreflection is a laboratory vehicle
designed and calibrated each year by LCPC, the French highways department
laboratory. It measures the retroreflection of markings on the entire
road network. Its objective, impartial results are a guarantee that
the commitments made by the company on the performance of markings
is respected. The results are given to the client who then pays for
the services provided. External manual inspections are used to validate
our own inspections. |
